Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has arrested five members of the
embezzlement group, showing the temptation of lucrative jobs and
business partnerships. The PBI says that this cycle, mainly kept retired people trapped in long-term savings.
A press conference was held at the Dhaka Metropolitan Office of the PBI on Agargaon on Saturday, yesterday they were arrested from a house in Pallabi. Five are arrested. Harun or Rashid, Sonja Saha, Shamsul Alam Majumder, Aminul Islam and Md. Moksedur Rahman.
In a press conference, the PBI said that till now 12 people have been deceived by this gang. Among them are retired secretaries, joint secretaries, senior officials of the bank, besides high officials. Only one joint secretary, this group has grabbed 1 crore 48 lakh taka.Additional DIG (East) of the PBI Mainul Hassan said, the detainees would first serve advertisements in the name of the fake organization in the national daily. Regarding the preference of retired bankers, army and civil officers in the advertisement, there was a mention. When they contacted the advertisers, they used to set targets. Then they were taken to their own sorted office by the partners.
Mainul said, according to the plan, the team used to take suit, tie and head hat to another associate. Talking fluently in Hindi, he used to call himself Marwari trader. At one stage they started playing cards with that person. The Indian businessman was shown to have won millions of dollars in the match. In this way, the strategy of job seekers in the target was to offer confidence to the business partner. According to the person who took the money, the members of the circle would keep the money and then they would have said that he would go away after communicating. Then the clique would have gone away from the office items.
PBI Dhaka Metropolitan Police Superintendent Abul Kalam Azad said, so far 12 people have been accused of cheating. But their numbers say this number even more. The case has been filed against the arrestees. Trying to arrest everyone else is going on.
