International community to come to Bangladesh to see Rohingya situation

Bangladesh urges the international community including the United Nations to visit the situation of Rohingya infiltrators from Myanmar. In a meeting of the Security Council on the issue of Rohingya at the United Nations Headquarters on Thursday, Bangladesh's permanent representative to the United Nations Masud Bin Momen said.


In this meeting of the UN Security Council held on the Rohingya issue, Bangladesh's role was appreciated in addition to raising concerns about ethnic killings in Rakhine.
Permanent Representative Masud Bin Momen said this meeting of the Security Council was 'a big step to resolve the Rohingya issue'.

Asked whether the discussion or decision was taken at a meeting of UN Security Council to resolve the Rohingya crisis, Masood bin Momen told reporters, "Members of the present member state of the meeting said that the whole issue needs to be involved in international cooperation or international community. If this situation remains unchanged, or if there is a deterioration of the situation for some reason, or people come to it, they say they will take specific steps.

He also said that the Security Council meeting on Rohingya issue is considered as a major step towards resolving the crisis. Bangladesh has sought cooperation from the international community, not only bilateral, but also to solve the Rohingya crisis, said the permanent representative of Bangladesh, who is engaged in the United Nations.
