The Myanmar government will take possession of houses and lands burnt to Rohingyas in Myanmar's Rakhine state. According to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Win Myat, the information was confirmed by Reuters.
In a meeting on Tuesday in Rakhine capital Sittwe, he said that the lands which were burnt to the extent of Myanmar law were taken to the government. The government will rebuild those lands. At the same time, he said that land recycling work will be very effective.
Referring to the current disaster management law in the country, she said that according to the law, if any area is affected due to any type of disaster or collision, the government will supervise the repatriation of the area. He did not provide details in this regard.
In the meanwhile, several human rights organizations have seen more than half of the 400 Rohingya villages in the northern region of Rakhine state, after seeing satellite images.
Myanmar military continued the ongoing attack on unarmed Rohingya people since August 25th. More than 4.5 million Rohingyas crossed the border to save lives from there.
