Malaysia has banned its citizens from traveling to North Korea According to the Foreign Ministry, the country's news agency Star Online reported this information on Thursday.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said, "All Malaysians have been banned from traveling to North Korea until further notice."
The decision has been taken to avoid the North Korean nuclear and missile program, which has spread to the Korean peninsula, the statement said.
It said, "The situation of travel restrictions will be reconsidered when the situation returns to normalcy."
Malaysia is one of the countries which have allied relations with North Korea. Earlier this month, the military tensions between North Korea and the United States began to grow in the wake of nuclear and missile programs. Washington has recently issued a new ban on Pyongyang. Earlier this week, North Korea warned that the United States has declared war against them and they have the right to overthrow US aircrafts.
